Every time my family and I go to Chinatown downtown SF for a festival, we ALWAYS hit up Dol Ho Restaurant.  It’s this completely hole-in-the-wall type of place that mostly the old Chinese people who have lived in Chinatown know of.  For about a year now, there will randomly be a group of white people in there, which can tell you that this place is getting known out there.
It’s quite small and completely busy.  Most people will just get up and go to the kitchen area to get themselves a new plate, refill their tea pots, etc. themselves which the workers are totally ok with.  Less work for them.
I love this place!  My favorite dim sum place and I always look forward to eating here when we’re in the area.
