Another one of my comps for this quote.  My boyfriend and I were sitting in cafe and he began doodling in my sketchbook and we started to talk about that joke about how those olive branches make things official.  As a joke I decided to recreate those branches on Illustrator and then make them look like some leaves are falling for the whole idea that love isn’t perfect like a movie.  Lovers still have fits and don’t always agree on everything, but love still comes out to fix those fits … sometimes.

My first concept for this Arthur Flowers assignment my Typography class has.  I realize mine is very plain and quite boring.  Others have their ideas exploring new boundaries and I’m kinda just … meh.  Ugh … creativity … why are you not present?

My first project of the semester for my Typography class was to take my first and last initial and create a “27th letter” that represents me. My letters are F and Y in Edwardian Script.  I wanted to create the idea about how my life has been all about trying new things and taking new routes in life.  There are so many things I want to do, but only so much time.  It also ended up that my two letters created the word life.  It was a very nice touch. :]

Started to create a site for the band I’m in.  I also made a tumblr for it, but until we actually start to get shows and what not, then I can start filling the sites up with information.  When that time comes I will be working a regular website, a myspace, a facebook page, a twitter, and another tumblr.  It makes one think how many freaking websites a person keeps up with anyway.  We are ridic.

For the past day I have been working on an extremely simple site to use as a portfolio.  Whenever I do some designing, I always do the lame thing of telling myself I could do so much better than this.  Or this sucks, look at this person’s amazing stuff!!  And then comes the I just suck feeling.  Life.  After I get this up and running, I must create a new and better site asap!  And more whales!!   Which reminds me, the night of The Ham Ba Ga show, my sister texted me someone bought another one of my Mr. Fancy Whale within the first hour of the show!! HUZZAH!  That always makes me happy.   I hope to be a part of more shows!  I want to challenge myself creatively and hopefully not have a super duper short 3 day notice that I can be a part of a show. :p   My boyfriend told me to put extraordinaire under my name on the site.  We thought it’d be funny, and I know I should change it, but I’ll keep it like that since the site isn’t actually up yet.  We both realized we couldn’t spell that word at the top of our head.  It is a tricky word.

I saw The Adjustment Bureau last night and I thought it was GREAT!!  I wish all guy could dress the way the members of the Adjustment Bureau wore.  I was inspired to take a try at making my own movie poster for it.  So, here it is. :]
